GLENDALE – Ardy Kassakhian today announced that the Democratic Party of the San Fernando Valley (DPSFV) has endorsed his campaign for Assembly District 43. As the most influential Democratic organization in the region, DPSFV serves as the coordinating body for a coalition of twenty-seven Democratic Clubs, representing six State Assembly Districts across the San Fernando Valley.
With DPSFV’s backing, Kassakhian solidifies his standing as the clear favorite of Democratic Party leaders and activists in the region. To date, Kassakhian has received the endorsements of the following Democratic organizations:
- Democratic Party of the San Fernando Valley (DPSFV)
- Democrats for Israel (DFI)
- Democrats for Neighborhood Action (DNA)
- East Area Progressive Democrats (EAPD)
- Glendale Democratic Club
- Hubert H. Humphrey Democratic Club
- Southern California Armenian Democrats (SCAD)
Kassakhian is the only candidate in this race who has received official endorsements from Democratic organizations.
Ardy Kassakhian has demonstrated broad community support. Since launching his campaign last year, he has raised more than $470,000 and received endorsements from State Treasurer John Chiang, Secretary of State Alex Padilla, State Superintendent of Instruction Tom Torlakson, Congressman Brad Sherman, Los Angeles City Councilmember Paul Krekorian, Assembly Majority Leader Dario Frommer (Ret.), Assemblymember Ian Calderon, and Assemblymember Jackie Goldberg (Ret.).
With the official endorsement of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO, Ardy Kassakhian stands as the choice of working families and has earned the backing of the California School Employees Association, the Los Angeles Police Protective League, SEIU California, IATSE Local 80, Laborers’ Pacific Southwest Region (LiUNA!), Teamsters Joint Council 42, and the Glendale City Employees Association.
